Behzad Habibzai is an American film score composer. Habibzai began his career studying classical music at the age of 10, including a focus on orchestral and jazz music as a percussionist and drummer.
After mastering percussion, his other instruments include the sitar and the flamenco guitar. He has been an established flamenco performer and educator. Habibzai’s musical interpretation of flamenco forms, as portrayed in performances with several leading national and international artists, have enthralled audiences across the country.
After having worked regularly as a drummer, percussionist, and ultimately flamenco guitarist, he set his sights on the world of orchestration – entering the world of film music. Habibzai has already lent his voice to several films and documentaries, helping film makers tell stories.
